If you want proof that digital transformation is much more than a simple technology upgrade, look no further than your nearest shopping mall. The retail industry is eager for its store assistants to become as digitally connected as their customers. But as many retailers have found, that’s a lot harder to achieve in practice than it might seem in theory. While an office worker might be able to teach themselves on the job, it’s different when there’s a customer standing there in front of you. Store associates will want to feel confident using the technology so that they don’t end up looking foolish in front of customers.
